Feel like you need to talk?

My name’s Peter and I’m a counsellor.

I can provide a warm, open-minded and confidential space for you to reflect on what’s happening in your life, find clarity in dark times, and figure out what things might look like moving forward.

I offer face to face therapy in London (Kings Cross/Angel and Hackney), and online therapy all over the place.

How I work

If you come for counselling with me you’ll have the space and freedom to talk openly about what your hopes for counselling are, what’s going on in your life, and what’s on your mind.

I believe a strong, collaborative relationship is at the heart of good counselling work.

With that in mind my own goal is to create, with you, a comfortable therapeutic space in which your preferences for therapy are acknowledged and built into our work together.

I hope the space we create together — whether it’s in person or online — is one in which you’ll feel supported, heard, and understood.

I work integratively which means I’m able to draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including person-centred, psychodynamic and existential therapies, along with CBT and acceptance and commitment therapy.

As well as giving me the ability to work with different models of counselling and psychotherapy, my training means I can also bring coaching into our work. Not everyone wants or need this, but it does mean that in addition to being able to work with you on finding clarity in your past and your present, I can also help you look at what comes next.

Who I work with

I work with adult clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Sessions take place in central London (a short walk from Kings Cross or Angel), and Haggerston in Hackney, east London (just down the road from Dalston), as well as via Zoom.

With a background in media and music, I’m attuned to many of the issues that can come up in those areas, and take a special interest in working with musicians and people in the music industry and broader creative industries — more on that here. I’m a member of the Music Industry Therapist Collective.

My credentials

My qualifications include a BACP-accredited PGDip in Integrative Counselling and Coaching plus training in areas like motivational interviewing and clinical assessment skills, transformational coaching and creativity coaching, and CPD in topics such as grief, perfectionism, domestic abuse, suicide, gender and sexuality conflicts, and trans awareness.
